This is an original press photo. Golfer Barney Thompson of Barboursville, West Virginia, recalls his hot round of 65 to the press that gave him a one stroke lead in the New Orleans Open Friday. Thompson is 10 under par for the two rounds and leads Jack Nicklaus and Bill Rogers by one stroke. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 4-23-1976.
